SKIN TYPE
dry skin
Your dry facial skin needs a lot of attention. It is also referred to as a low-fat-dry condition or sebostasis. The cause of dry skin is greatly reduced sebum production. It makes the protective hydrolipidic film of your skin unstable, as the water-binding property of sebum is missing. This is why your dry skin to face is often fine-pored, flaky, rough and, above all, thin. This usually makes your skin very sensitive.
CHARACTERISTICS OF DRY SKIN
- SKIN CONDITION
Your skin is often tight to face and sometimes has cracked and flaky patches. It often reacts sensitively and appears porcelain-like.
- SKIN STRUCTURE & PORES
The pores on your skin are fine, you hardly have any blackheads and your facial skin tends to be rough, sometimes cracked and flaky.
- TEINT
Your complexion often looks dull and rather pale.
- SPECIAL
Your skin is demanding and needs targeted and, above all, rich support. Protect it from excessive moisture loss by not exposing it to water for too long.
TIPS FOR DRY SKIN
1st tip: Only cleanse your skin once a day.
Less is definitely more for your skin. Wash your skin only PM before going to bed with lukewarm water and the cleansing product of your choice. In the morning, simply cleanse deep into your pores with one of our toner.
2nd tip: Only use lukewarm water.
Water that is too hot damages your skin's natural protective barrier. So don't wash your dry skin too hot to avoid putting it under additional stress. This also applies to your whole body.
3rd tip: Mix oil with your cream.
oils that you add to your skincare routine can take over the function of the missing sebum and also form a protective, smooth film. Simply mix 2-3 drops , for example Almond Oil or Argan Oil with 1-2 pumps of Hyaluronic Acid Day Cream.
4th tip: Use sufficient UV protection.
No matter how you react to the sun, UV protection is essential for your facial skin. Especially in summer, but also in winter, UV rays reach your skin. It is therefore best to always use an SPF of at least 30, e.g. our Sun Fluid Spf 50+.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY KNOW ABOUT DRY SKIN
HOW DO YOU PREVENT YOUR dry skin?
dry skin to face is particularly sensitive and thin. There are various external and internal causes that favor this skin type. These include, for example, the weather, diet, a job involving contact with chemical substances or skin diseases. It is particularly important for less protected skin that you pay attention to the Actives in your skincare routine. Our Aloe Vera Spray , for example, could be a daily companion for you. Spray your face whenever your skin feels increasingly flaky or rough. This will give it an extra moisturizing boost.
To bring your skin back to a balanced state, it is important to replace the missing sebum. Replenishing face creams like those in our duo are perfect for dry facial skin. Our targeted routine recommendation will help you to increase the oil content of your skin and prevent it from drying out further.
LEARN MORE ABOUT YOUR SKIN CONDITION.
Do you have dry skin, but it can also be different? For example, sometimes very sensitive, irritated or blemished? Each skin type is accompanied by a variable skin condition that also affects you. The causes of your skin condition are very diverse. Especially in winter, sebum becomes thicker due to the cold and worsens the condition of your skin even more. Your age also plays an important role in the condition of your skin.
The skin type of dry skin is often confused with the skin condition of dehydrated skin. While dry skin mainly lacks oil, dehydrated skin wants nothing but extra moisture. The noticeable differences in many cases are scaly or itchy patches to face, which are an indicator of dry skin .
Regardless of whether your dry skin has a dehydrated, mature, sensitive or impure skin condition. The most important thing is that you use the right skincare.
