Layering beauty trend
Some time ago, the beauty trend of layering popped up. Layering is about applying skincare products to the skin in thin layers in a specific order. In order for serums, creams and the like to develop their full potential, the order must be observed. The rule of thumb is: clear and watery products first, then apply richer and oilier products.
When layering with our products, the order after the cleanser would look like this:
- Cleanse - the basis of all care
- Tone - with toner, Rosewater or Aloe Vera Spray
- Treat - This is where active ingredient-based care such as serums or concentrates come into play
- Moisturize - creams and facial oils provide lipids, moisture and richness
- Protect: sun screen is of course a must during the day
"Mix & Match" care - mix your daily cosmetics
However, as not every skin always needs so much care and there is not always time for an extensive beauty routine, you can easily optimize your skincare routine.
Instead of applying layer after layer and waiting for each product to be absorbed, you can simply mix your favourite products and tailor your personal "mix & match" skincare routine to your skin's needs. After all, hormonal or external influences such as changes in the weather or air conditioning can quickly change the condition of your skin and require a skincare update.
Here are a few examples:
A freshness boost for your skin: Does your skin need extra refreshing moisture? Mix the aloe vera gel or the Hyaluronic Concentrate with some Hyaluronic cream product and then apply The Duo .
Nourishing care: Is your skin a little tight and drier than usual? Simply apply a suitable nourishing oil to your day cream and enjoy the richer care.
Soothing care: Is your skin under stress and showing signs of redness and dry patches? Mix a little Hyaluronic Concentrate with Rosehip Seed Oil. The gentle duo moisturizes and soothes your skin.
Strengthening care: Do you feel that your skin is losing oil and moisture and its protective function is impaired? Add a few drops Squalane into your day care. The non-greasy oil strengthens the skin's protective barrier and is also suitable for blemish prone skin .

Here are three examples of skincare rituals with complementary products:
Cleansing Milk or alternatively Cleansing GelFirst cleanse the skin thoroughly, then gently pat it dry and spray a little Rosewater on the face, neck and décolleté. Then apply the following products in this order:
Calendula tonerSpray 3-5 pumps of the toner onto your skin. Alternatively, you can also apply it first to a cotton pad and then apply by stroking it from the inside out. Calendula toner intensively moisturizes, soothes the skin and strengthens the skin's protective barrier.
Ceramides serum: The milky serum strengthens the skin barrier and is the absolute hero in skin care for dry skin. This is because a strengthened skin barrier can retain moisture and lipids much better and therefore no longer loses its elasticity and flexibility!
Hyaluron cream Rich: The nourishing care with valuable plant oils compensates for the skin's lack of lipids and is also suitable as a day cream for dry skin, as it is the richest of our three hyaluronic creams.
Optional - Almond Oil: Either dab it locally onto dry areas or apply a very thin layer to the face, neck and décolleté. Press on lightly with the flat of your hand. Organic Almond Almond Oil contains oleic acid, unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and minerals and nourishes the skin, making it supple and more resistant to external influences.
Alternatively, you can also use our Organic RosehipRosehip Seed Oil or the Organic JojobaJojoba Oil andapply a sun screen at the end.
These care products support you and your skin in a gentle but effective way:
Cleansing Gel: It removes dirt, make-up and sebum particularly gently but thoroughly without drying out your skin.
Zinc toner: Spray 3-5 pumps of the toner onto your skin. Alternatively, you can also spray it onto a Cotton pad and then apply by stroking it from the inside out. The Zinc toner has an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect.
Azelain serum: Our Azelain serum calms inflammation and is your acute helper to Moisturize impurities, pimples and the like. It regulates sebum production and has a mattifying effect.
Hyaluron cream Light: The moisturizing effect is perfect for the daily care of blemished skin.With 0.5% hyaluronic acid, organic aloe vera, organic jojobaJojoba Oil and Squalane , it is a super light care product that is quickly absorbed and leaves the skin feeling silky smooth.
Spot cream: For spot treatment of pimples, I recommend our Spot cream, which is also included in the set. It specifically dries out the pimple and promotes the healing process. So that the injury to your skin is quickly forgotten and it can once again fulfill its natural functions.
Our mature skin set is ideal for mature or blemish prone skin that does not react irritably to active ingredient cosmetics.
Cleansing MilkGently cleanses your skin without drying it out. Simply rub a small amount between your hands and leave-on to dry facial skin. Moisten your hands slightly and apply the emulsion again with circular movements leave-on Thoroughly rinse-off.
PHA toner: Spray 3-5 pumps of toner onto your skin. Alternatively, you can also spray it onto a cotton pad and then apply by stroking it from the inside out. The toner has a mild exfoliating effect and is suitable for every day to rid your skin of dead skin cells and excess sebum.
Retinal Sensitive serum: Retinal is a wonderful active ingredient for mature skin. It stimulates the regeneration of the skin and at the same time inhibits the enzyme responsible for collagen breakdown, which wants to become more active with age.
Retinal creamRetinal cream provides your skin with rich moisture in addition to our power ingredient.
During the day the sun screen during the day, as both Actives stimulate skin regeneration and the younger skin layer on the surface is also more sensitive to light.
Which products are not a match?
As our products are very mild, most of them can be used in parallel. Only certain active ingredient cosmetics should not be combined under certain circumstances.
We advise against using the Vitamin C serum and the retinal products at the same time if you have very sensitive skin, as both Actives affect the pH-value of the skin and particularly sensitive skin may react irritably. The situation is similar with our BHA peeling and the AHA peeling , which you should not use at the same time as Vitamin C or retinal if you have ultra-sensitive skin or skin diseases. In this case, please seek dermatological advice first.
If you use the Niacinamide serum and one of our Retinal products, it is best not to use them in the same routine. Niacinamide AM and Retinal PM is an ideal split. And of course, don't forget your sunscreen in the morning!
Crumbly cosmetics - when skincare becomes crumbly
Your cosmetics become crumbly on the skin as soon as you mix two products? Imagine adding some oil to a glass of water. Without an emulsifier, the oil will settle. It is similar with cosmetic products that do not combine.
The crumbling effect occurs when products with a watery base meet products with a fatty Basis . An example: an aqueous serum is applied directly under a skin care oil. This causes the aqueous and oily phases to separate and the cosmetic crumbles.
Another reason for the crumbling effect can be silicone in cream, primer or make-up. Our products are free from this much-discussed ingredient. It is best to check the INCI list of your beauty products.
Your skin, your skin care program
