Why we are building schools in Malawi

LUCK YOU CAN BUILD ON

OUR HEART PROJECT

"It is a heartfelt wish of mine to be involved in access to education. Seeing live on the ground how people's lives are changing thanks to the schools and what new opportunities are opening up for the children moves me deeply. I am very grateful that our project partners are making this possible on the ground."

WHY MALAWI?

Malawi is located in south-east Africa and is primarily known for its rich wildlife in the national parks, the warmth of its inhabitants and its tea and tobacco plantations. Unfortunately, there is a great lack of schools in Malawi. 35% of school-age children have no opportunity to go to school at all, others learn without a roof over their heads, with up to 150 children in one classroom or have to walk 5 to 8 km each way to school, which is dangerous - especially for girls. We therefore want to help and are building primary and secondary schools to enable shorter distances to school, higher levels of education and more space to learn for more and more children.

YOUR SUPPORT

Thanks to you and your support, we have already been able to build 5 schools in Malawi and another one is already being financed. With our annual Lucky Weeks, every order automatically donates 1€ to our heart project.

In addition, with every order you have the opportunity to contribute to the construction of the next school with an amount of your choice.

With your help, we have already been able to build 29 classrooms. Thank you!

OUR TRIP TO MALAWI

Together with the organization FLY & HELP, we travelled to Malawi in May 2025 and were able to experience what is possible through local commitment and cooperation. Together with our local partners, we visited three schools that we built together - an experience that moved us deeply and left a lasting impression. Today, they offer hundreds of children a place to learn, dream and grow

The energy, joy and solidarity in the schools were palpable everywhere. We were moved to witness the lessons live - and to see how much dedication the teachers and principals show every day in doing far more than just their job by giving the children an education and a future. In our interactions with parents and children, we sensed how much hope and pride there is in this project. These encounters have shown us how much education can achieve - for each individual child, for families and entire communities.

On our journey through Malawi - past green fields, high mountains and red earth - we experienced the beauty of the country and the warmth of the people. Malawi impressed us with its diversity, its warmth and its strength. We are incredibly grateful for all the insights and people we were able to meet. This trip was intense, inspiring and emotional - an experience that will stay with us forever.
