In case you haven't noticed: We love hyaluronic acid!

Right down to the smallest molecules. Because it is precisely these molecules that are responsible for taking valuable moisture into your skin, keeping it there and providing it with the best long-term care. When your skin is bursting with moisture, fine lines and wrinkles are plumped up, redness is reduced and dryness is balanced out. Want to find out more? Then read on straight away!

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide and consists of a long chain of repeating disaccharide building blocks. A hyaluronic acid chain can consist of up to 50,000 of these building blocks. The individual chains attract each other and thus form a close-meshed network. Like a kind of sponge, Hyaluronic acid is therefore able to bind and store large quantities of water.

Our body uses this property to produce Hyaluronic acid itself and use it precisely where a lot of water needs to be retained, for example in the eye or in the joints. Most of all, however, in the intercellular spaces of the skin. Here it forms a gel-like matrix in the dermis, in which collagen fibers and fibroblasts are embedded. Together with these proteins, Hyaluronic acid is responsible for structure and elasticity.

How does Hyaluronic acid work?

Hyaluronic acid moisturizes your skin down to the deeper layers and stores the water in so-called moisture depots. This makes the skin appear plump and smooth. Thanks to the optimal supply of moisture, the cells can be supplied with important nutrients and waste products can be efficiently removed. This is also the reason why Hyaluronic acid has ananti-inflammatory effect and prevents blemishes. In addition Treat the depots act as a natural protective shield and make your skin resistant to external influences such as UV radiation, environmental toxins or mechanical irritants.

How hyaluronic acid affects the skin

Hyaluronic acid is absorbed into the uppermost cell layers through the apply and the skin is thus supplied with moisture. Your skin regains volume, appears firmer and wrinkles are reduced. However, not all Hyaluronic acid Hyaluronic acid are the same, as they differ in their molecular size. Long-chain hyaluronic acids (1500 kD) form a moisturizing film on the surface of the skin. This prevents the rapid evaporation of the skin's own water and thus increases the skin's hydration. Short-chain hyaluronic acids (50 kD) and oligohylauronic acids (3 kD) are stored long-term in the connective tissue and ensure a lasting supply of moisture.

Benefits of hyaluronic acid

Moisturize

Thanks to its close-meshed, chain-like structure, Hyaluronic acid acid channels valuable moisture into the deeper layers of your skin.

Storing water

Just like a sponge, Hyaluronic acid can bind large amounts of water and store it in its moisture depots.

Skin Protect

The moisture depots Treat your skin like a natural protective shield, making it resistant and keeping it in tact.

Plumping and smoothing

Hyaluronic acid is absorbed in the uppermost cell layers. This gives your skin more volume, makes it firmer and reduces wrinkles.

Our Hyaluronic Concentrate for plump, well-nourished skin

Hyaluronic acid gives you valuable moisture and a fresh complexion. Our lightweight Hyaluronic Concentrate nourishes your skin and helps it to transport additional Actives directly into the deeper layers of the skin.

To balance your moisture levels, we use 1.4 % Hyaluronic acid in a balanced mixture of three molecule sizes (high, medium and low molecular weight). The smaller the molecule, the deeper it can penetrate the skin and develop its water-retaining effect. Together with aloe vera, Hyaluronic acid can gradually plump up fine lines and wrinkles. Use our Hyaluronic Concentrate frequently and regularly, as your skin will always appreciate extra moisture. Combine it directly with a serum and channel the good Actives deep into your skin.

Who is hyaluronic acid suitable for?

Combinability & interactions
Hyaluronic acid is beneficial for all skin types because it helps your skin to absorb and retain moisture. Above all, it is so skin-friendly that you can easily combine it with other active ingredients. It supports your skin in transporting other Actives even better into the deeper layers and thus reinforces the effect.

Where does our active ingredient come from?

Hyaluronic acid is produced by bacterial fermentation. The starting material for fermentation is wheat. The substance is purified through several filtration steps and then dried. Fermentation is generally understood to be the conversion of organic substances through the addition of microorganisms or enzymes.
