PIGMENT SPOTS & PIMPLE MARKS ROLL-ON

Melanin is the pigment that is responsible for the color of our skin and protects it from the harmful effects of UV radiation. The production of melanin is a complex biological process that is triggered and determined by various factors.

UV radiation triggers melanin production and thus activates the skin's UV protection function. However, hormonal changes, such as during pregnancy, inflammation or injury to the skin, increasing age or genetics can also influence melanin production. If this happens in individual areas of the skin, localized hyperpigmentation such as pigment spots or pimple marks occur.

Our active ingredient combination of alpha-arbutin and tranexamic acid inhibits melanin production at various points in the process by regulating enzymes, among other things, and thus helps to lighten pigmentation spots and pimple marks. Fewer color pigments accumulate in the treated areas and the hyperpigmentation gradually fades. By stimulating cell renewal, existing melanin can also be better removed. In addition, the antioxidant effect of tranexamic acid supports the fading of hyperpigmentation in two ways: Firstly, it regulates inflammatory processes that are largely responsible for the formation of spots. Secondly, it protects the skin from oxidative stress, which also reduces UV-induced melanin formation.
